The purpose of this thread is to put unit ideas here instead of wasting bandwidth by starting a new thread.
but you cant put just anything hear you have to follow the 2 rules
rule 1
be specific
don't just say i want mechs or how bout a hover tank.
rule 2
check before you post
don't post something that is already there.
(exception: you can post something that has already been posted in another thread so all the ideas will be easily accessible) |

high tech jeeps whith turrets are always cool and fairly common in games and movies (eg. the warthog from halo and the jeep from FFSW) battlescape needs one too.
im thinking a jeep whith the chassis of the FFSW jeep and the suspension and gun of the warthog and then call it the wolvreen to avoid lawsuits
the wolvreen could hold 5 soldiers, supplies for 5 solders, and a turret; or 10 solders, their supplies, and no turret; or a bunch of supplies, and no passengers or turret
and the gun could be replaced by a rocket launcher, flak cannon, etc.

you mean like the siege tank in starcraft

It was a vaguish concept!! i don't see what was wrong with it personlly.
(okay i missed out the size and tracked/whelled stuff)
it would be bigger than an infantery unit but smaller than a boat
it would have a squad size of one(so they don't kill each other when they are deployed)
and it would be tracked and the (Deployed) turret would have a neon coloured glass tubey thing than changes colour when it fire.
And it would be called the demolisher heavy tank. |

i think it neads a beatter name maby demolisher siege tank cause a hevy tank would have to be the size of the hades which is bigger than a boat

this would be a HEAT* missle dsesignd to take out hevy armored units like the crebris and the talos
*(High Explosive Anti Tank) shaped carge warheads speshaly desighed to penatrate hevy armor

1) E.M.P.(electromagnetic pulse) Missiles (or maybe a satellite)
simple enough, u can disable electronic units over a small area. it would permantly dispose of small units such cars, helicopters, and maybe some smaller (and weaker) tanks; but for those large scale buildings like an enemy base you would only disable them for a little bit halting all production
2) Berserker Missile
it's sort of like a nova bomb from starscape. 1st it would explode and release several smaller missiles, then all of those smaller missiles would explode and release a ton of mines in every direction. if they land on enemy units/buildings they would automatically explode, but if they land on the ground they'd stay until some dumb unit step on it; careful, they can also damage your own units and building
3) Weather Machine
this would have to be pretty expensive and would need to charge up so u can use it constantly. basic idea is unleash a tornado (or some other type of weather anomily) on ur enemies' bases
4) Deafenner
giant engines (like the kind on modern planes). this would make enemy human units loose their hearing for a bit so it'd be liked they were stunned
5) Harvestors
large hovering machines that are covered in armour thicker then most tanks. they have long "arms" with spikes all over the bottom of them for furiously cutting right through metals and such; great siege weapons, but would be even better for rending human flesh. also this could be used as a group transport thus making it even better for laying siege to enemy bases
6) Apocalypse
another large hovering unit like the harvestor but instead of claws it fires 4 energy blasts/missiles out of its sides for devastating damage and it has one main cannon that is stored underneath it. the main cannon has to charge so you can't use it that often. this would probobly be a really expensive unit and in a collective force they could cause massive damage

first battlescape wount have bases you select your units before the battle
also thare will only be 6 units but thay will all be coustomisable
infintry
L wheeled*
APC
crebris
hades
talos
light airframe*
hev airframe*
i dount like the harvester or the apoclips but the wether mecheen sounds like a cool thing to mount on a hades
the besurker missle sound intresting but neads a beatter nane
and the emp souldent be able to permintly destroy units just stun temporaly
the deafenner is unpractacal
ever heard about coherint sound
its a frequncy that is only audble if you are right in its path
just play something really horable** and you have an efective weppon
*the name and detalis of this unit have not yet been disclosed
** babby crying played backwords played a high frequincys will leve you stuned for a muniet and uncoumftroble for hours

you could at least try to improve your spelling before you start insulting me........and anyway i was in a rush
whats wrong with the name berserker missile....
well the harvester/deafenner isn't too great idea but the apocalypse was better then anything u came up with
as for the e.m.p., it only covers a small area so it wouldn't be able to disable an entire base.... it shouldn't be much larger then half the size of an enemy base....

weppon names arnt just to sound cool
buserker doesint describe the efect
and regardless of whether the apoclips is cool that doesint change the fact that it wount be in the game beacuse it doesint fit in
however thay might have something like the harvester alrady
