I should point out that Icarus is in no way associated with Moonpod and so has no idea what actually will make it into the final game, so don't let him discourage you from posting Very Happy

that's good news, but i'm still out of ideas.... for now

What a about a Mortar Infantry but it has different ammo for different situations...

Say if its at a distance and their are enemy Infantry converging on you position...you tell your Infantry to switch to AP rounds (AP= Anti Personal) and fire in the general direction of the attackers...destroying the opponents units.

Who would use those Tanks...All tanks need to have thier human components to run. Those Tanks wouldn't be around if there wasn't any infantry units to build and maintain those tanks.

I was always fond of Tesla Troopers in the RA series... the ultimate portable BBQ Very Happy And Elemental Mechs if you ever played the MW series games. Handy little power armour suits, those were.

What else.. flamer troops are always good for a giggle, heavy MG units, rocketeers... if you're feeling a touch sadistic, maybe kamikaze troops? Big ol' walking bombs usually amuse Very Happy

dount get me started on RA's tesla weppons
a tesla coill would have to be the size of th eifl tower and have a power draw in the gigawat range to be efective

kamakizi solders probably wouldent work beacuse in battlescape each trooper is a living person whith free will, felings, and a famly back home

thare is no such thing as an aceptable loss

but evrything else is good

Wish the military higher ups saw it the same as you do Crying or Very sad Losses are acceptable up to a point... ah well.

Ooooh! You'd need commando units too. That is, trained in CQB, not going without underwear. Although a flash attack could be interesting...

back to posting unit ideas:

Talos Tank

well, you already thought of a Talos "Walking" Tank, so why not have a regular, sorta, Talos Tank that instead of legs has those armoured wheel things regular tanks have but it would still have the body and arms. in fact i believe having the tanks without legs would give you more weaponary options. Perhaps you could equip some side cannons or something.
Side Note - i hope your gonna have dual assualt rifles or dual grenade launchers or have 1 on each hand at least

You've surely seen 'Jason and the Argonauts' ? (which coincidentally was on tv in the UK today. That giant walking bronze statue is Talos.
