Why aren't there more films with Kurt Russell in them? Ok, I know he's made some bad films, but even in those bad films he still rocked!

I say we storm Hollywood and demand Kurt Russell is put back on top where he belongs! Who's with me? CHARGE!!!!!!

Top Kurt Russell must see movies:
  • Escape From New York
  • The Thing
  • Big Trouble In Little China
  • Executive Decision (not as bad as you'd think, Seagal dies early, and Kurt rocks!)
  • Backdraft (pants, but looks good on a big screen, and check out Kurt's 'you go, we go' eye muscle twitch -now THAT'S acting!)
  • Soldier (So bad, it's good!)

-sorry, just been watching Escape From NY Smile

Stargate is more James Spader's movie and Kurt tales a back seat.

It's pretty good, but it's a family film and so comes with family film baggage.

I understand that his recent movie Sky High was really good. But I haven't seen it yet.

I've seen all the ones you listed above, and my favorite, being the sci-fi geek I am, is The Thing.

Also don't forget Escape from LA.

Its kind of odd that some of his best are the one's he's worked with Carpenter on eh? Smile

Is he actually a big part of that film? I got the impression he was in more of a supporting role, but I could be wrong.

Damn, I've been trying to forget that film since I saw it! To be fair though, I think what I said above is true - Kurt is still great, but the film sucks. He's done some bad films but we still love him!

In fact, I propose Kurt Russel plays Bud in my fantasy Starscape Movie. Smile

"Every time Jack is dumb and American"

In a Big Trouble in Little China drinking game, this was one of the instructions to drink I drew out of the hat. I was even more ill than the guy who had "every time somebody flies through the air".
