I just wanted to share a few ideas I had.

First, there could be equipment specifically designed to lower enemy morale, not so much by lowering morale, but using it to approximate other effects. Thi ...

As for marines beating zerglings in large numbers, this is only true for VERY large groups (like 60 marines in very tight formation) or at chokepoints. Otherwise zerglings can beat marines with superi ...

I've played some SC mods that had unit with independant weapons. Stuff like a sort of infested goliath, it shot 3 lurker spines versus ground and 2 scout missles versus air, and could do both at the s ...

Instead of meleeing ground troops, you could simply have it walk over them, with damage/random instadeath. Similiar to tanks running over troops in games like Dune and Comand and Conquer. Depending on ...

PostForum: Battlescape   Posted: Fri Aug 13, 2004 1:40 pm   Subject: air units

Esse ...

I happen to know nearly every last thing about the combat mechanics of starcraft (Did you know firebats get extra hits on large units so they don't do the expected 25% damage?) On that note, Mutalisks ...

Dune for the Genesis is what got me into the strategy genre. Really quite excellent for the time, and the controls weren't painful at all. I think the biggest problem was the enemy AI, it had very sim ...
