  Well, based on my rummaging around you'd be able to change the appearance of the buttons and suchlike, but not, I think, their placement - and adding and removing functionality would be right out.

  Correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem that releasing the source and continuing to make money off it are mutually exclusive - especially if you make the source available as part of what you get ...
