I know it's not as good as 1 + 2, don't even mention 4.

Still, they're showing it on TV tonight and you can't beat this line:

You're all gonna die.
The only question is how you check out.
Do you want it on your feet? Or on your F_E_C_K_I_N' knees... begging?
I ain't much for begging!
Nobody ever gave me nothing!
So I say F_E_C_K that thing!
Let's fight it!

Nah - the best Alien-series line ever remains Ripley's "Nuke the site from orbit; it's the only way to be sure". And probably always will.

And hey, Alien-cubed may not be the best film in the trilogy, but at least they didn't decide not to make it because it was so rubbish, the way they did with Terminator 3. Admittedly, that was the right decision, given how bad T3 would have been if they had made it, but they didn't, so that's OK.

Yeah, I liked Alien 3 - slower and less tense than the first two but with enough good characters to keep it going and lots of good ideas. (As opposed to say Doctor Who, which is getting a bit too ideas-without-the-execution for my tastes.) I actually like the fourth one up until about the last twenty minutes too. I haven't seen them for years, though. I ended up watching the Matrix on TV late last night - I haven't seen that for years either but surprised myself with how much I could quote.

Terminator 3 did get made - it's the one with Nick Stahl and Claire Danes where they end up at the SkyNet facility. (Was there a different abandoned one?) I liked that one too, although I don't rate Terminator Salvation.

Terminator 3 doesn't exist. Really. There are only two films and the Sarah Connor Chronicles. And those are not the droids you're looking for, anyway.

I think this is the story I've been searching for a long time.
