WiiSports, but for late night drunken parties?

Hats off to them, there ought to be more games for a mature audience on the Wii. I can't help sniggering though, what's wrong with me? Although, watching this, I bet you could just play almost any Wii game and stick the wiimote down your pants and call it 'sexy play' - no?

In summary: a man puts a wii controller down the back of his pants, he lays across the lap of a lady, she smacks his bum in rhythm to the game. Classic Smile

Hey Australian Classification Board, see this game? Ban it. You'll be doing all of us down here a favour.
(Alas, no such luck, it's already been rated PG).

That 'we dare' game is very clever, even though its marketed as a 'sexy fun game for adults back home after a night out' the game itself doesn't seem to feature any remotely adult content. It's only the antics of the players themselves that could get 'interesting' Wink

Still, I wouldn't have been surprised if they'd banned it.

Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure is an interesting case. ****** game, so probably a good thing we didn't get it, but... it was originally rated MA15+. Then Queensland's Attorney General appealed the rating (saying it would promote graffiti), and so the MA15+ was overturned and it had a big ol' RC stamped on it.

There are three problems, as I see it, with this:
    1. Vandalism happens. You're not going to stop it. Games, however, probably aren't going to make it worse. I mean, I've played de Blob (great game, and Australian made to boot) but it doesn't make me want to throw buckets of paint over office buildings.

    2. Look at Need for Speed: Most Wanted. A game which involves illegal street racing and high speed police chases? Gets a G (as in, safe for kids, or the lowest rating there is) rating. Think about it for a second - what's more likely to cause death or serious injury? Graffiti or street racing and police chases?

    3. It once again demonstrates the ability that the Attorney General of each state shouldn't have: the ability to affect things on a federal level. The Attorneys General are in no way part of the federal government. If they want to ban games in their own states (they can), then I'm alright with them having that power... but to ban games for the whole country? That's a little outside their jurisdiction, I think.
Also: to get an R rating for games we need unanimous approval from the Attorney General of each state, when they meet (about once a month). It was supposed to be brought up at last month's meeting, but John Hatzistergos (AG for NSW) is too busy campaigning for the upcoming state election to attend that meeting. Or this month's.

Basically, this country is messed up. Anyone want to give me a one way plane ticket to a nicer one?
