Alien Shooter has been "tarted up" Wink

http://www.sigma-team.net/games/action/alien-shooter-revisited.html

If you've already bought it (like me) then no need to rush out and get it again, it feels like the same game game, just looks a bit nicer.

Virtua Tennis 2009 is 75% off, down to... well it depends on where you live. In the US store it's $7.50. Here it's twice as much. Over.

The midweek deal is a bunch of indie games: Altitude, Bob Came In Pieces, Bullet Candy, Galcon Fusion, Gridrunner Revolution, Space Giraffe and Super Laser Racer are all $2 each, or you can get a pack with all of them for $9.99. Finished.

Super Laser Racer is a fun game, I know the guy who made it and it only took a month! He's a coding genius though and he already had the racing game engine bit done from another game.

I don't think the original game made it onto Steam, but it's interesting how a new coat of paint and a quick "re-imagining" with a cool neon-glow line drawn look and you're in!

The original "normal" looking game:

p.s. Space Giraffe makes me go cross eyed Smile

This week is Square Enix/Eidos week. Like most publisher weeks, there's something different each day.
Monday: Deus Ex and Hitman series - the individual games are 50% off, packages with both Deus Ex games or the Hitman games 60% off (although it seems cheaper to get the Deus Ex games separately), or a pack with all of them for 66% off ($16.98).
Tuesday: Battlestations series and Order of War - same savings: individually 50% off, series pack 60% off, everything on sale today 66% off.
Wednesday: Tomb Raider series and The Last Remnant. Pack here.
Thursday: Mini Ninjas and Gyronmancer. Pack here.
Friday: Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection (it's an MMO), Just Cause and Batman: Arkham Asylum (but don't buy Batman by itself - it's cheaper to get it with Just Cause) 50% off, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Just Cause pack 66% off, cheaper than Arkham Asylum by itself. All over.

Is anyone else playing Dragon Age? I've only played an hour or so, but it's fun so far, seems like a lot of content to explore.

Everquest is still going? I played that something like 10 years ago, for about 3 months. It's cool that it is still online. I remember it being very hardcore, but maybe it's changed.

The weekend deal is 33% off Aliens vs Predator - again, pricing depends on where you're situated, but those of us unfortunate enough to live in Australia will be paying $43.54 (or whatever that equates to in our fine Australian currency, what with its $1 and $2 coins, no notes below $5, and plastic notes) - in the land of the Yankee it's $33.49. Over.

I absolutely loved the original, only works in multi-player though. Sitting on a roof beam as an invisible predator while 5 friends playing as marines nervously discuss who is going to venture out and lure me into the open. Great stuff. Shame the developer, Rebellion, just closed its studio nearby in Derby. Someone I used to work with lost his job. I really don't like this system whereby they wait until the game is finished then kick you out regardless of how well the game sells.

Yes, I played through it - it's pretty good fun and you really don't notice the time slip away. It took me >60 hours for a play through :-/ so you've plenty left even if you take short cuts.

I can thoroughly recommend Mass Effect 2 too. It's a slight departure from the original in feel but still very good. It's now rare you'll find missions on random planets, though - instead you have to scan them for minerals to upgrade your kit which gets tedious. (If you've played it this is pretty good.)

Everquest and all 15 expansions for $2.50? That's cheap enough to take a stroll down memory lane for a bit of nostalgia!

The midweek deal is Left 4 Dead 2, 50% off ($24.99). You know you want it... unless you're forced to get a censored version. Finished.

The weekend deal is 75% off Torchlight - down to $5. If you don't have it, get it. NOW. Finished.
Star Trek Online (deluxe edition) is 33% off (regular $33.49, special $40.19) until April 2. Tried the beta - found it pretty boring... I'll stick to WoW. Forgot to update when that finished.
